Bird Hit’s UP CM Yogi Adityanath’s Helicopter, Leads To Emergency Landing

Varanasi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s helicopter made an emergency landing in Varanasi on Sunday morning after a bird hit right after the take-off, according to officials.

CM Yogi, who was heading to Lucknow, left the Circuit House in Varanasi around 8.55 am. His chopper departed from the Police Line helipad around 9.10 am and made an emergency landing at 9.16 am.

The Chief Minister is on a two-day visit to Varanasi. Following the incident, the UP CM returned to the Circuit House around 9.20 am. He has now left for Babatpur airport from where he will leave for Lucknow on a state airplane. The administration has made all arrangements for his travel.

According to Officials, said that a bird hit the window of the Lucknow-bound helicopter after it took off from Varanasi. The pilot then requested an emergency landing.

Earlier on Saturday, Yogi Adityanath distributed online rural residential rights documents to 11 lakh families under the Swamitva scheme in Lucknow. At a function organized in the auditorium of Lok Bhawan, Adityanath distributed the documents and highlighted making a self-reliant state.
