PM Modi To Lay Foundation Stone Of Ganga Expressway Today In Uttar Pradesh’s Sahjahanpur

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of the 594-km long Ganga Express Highway. The foundation is laid at UttarPradesh’s Shahjahanpur. The cost of the six-lane expressway is of Rs 36,230 crore, it is also been claimed as the longest expressway in Uttar Pradesh. 

The Express High Way will start from Bijauli village in Meerut till Jundapur Dandu village in Pragyaraj. It will help in better connectivity of expressways, every end  of UttarPradesh will be connected to Lucknow and Delhi. 

A 3.5-kilometre long air-strip for assisting emergency take-off and landing of Air Force planes will also be constructed on the expressway in Shahjahanpur. An industrial corridor is also proposed to be built along the expressway.

The program of laying the foundation stone of Ganga Expressway by PM Modi will begin at Railway Ground Rauza from Shahjahanpur at 1 pm.

Features of the Ganga Express Highway 

The estimated cost of the six-lane Ganga Expressway is Rs 36,230 crore.

The expressway will pass through twelve districts including Hapur, Bulandshahr, Amroha, Sambhal, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Unnao, Rae Bareli and Pratapgarh.

Seven railway overbridges, 14 major bridges, 126 minor bridges, 375 underpasses, nine public convenience complexes, two toll plazas and 15 ramp toll plazas will be constructed in Ganga Expressway.The estimated cost of the six-lane Ganga Expressway is Rs 36,230 crore.
