Shatrughan Sinha’s Son Luv Sinha Makes Political Debut, To Contest From Bankipur

Bankipur seat is a Kayastha-dominated. Luv Sinha is also a Kayastha. For this reason, Shatrughan Sinha has launched his son in politics from here.

 

Patna| Luv Sinha, son of Bollywood star and former Union Minister Shatrughan Sinha, has made a political entry in Bihar Assembly Elections. The Congress has made him a candidate from Bankipur Legislative Assembly seat in Patna district. He will face outgoing BJP MLA Nitin Naveen. Pushpam Priya Chaudhary is also contesting on this seat. She has formed the plurals party. Pushpam Priya is the daughter of former JDU leader Binod Kumar Chaudhary and has declared herself the future CM candidate. Sushma Sahu, a former member of the National Commission for Women and a leader of the BJP, has also decided to tap the same seat.

The fight on Bankipur seat has thus become interesting. Nitin Naveen has been elected MLA from here for the last three times. This seat has been a BJP stronghold. Luv Sinha has no political identity of his own. He is going to start the political innings by handling the political legacy of his father. Shatrughan Sinha has been an MP from Patna many times. Last year, before the Lok Sabha elections, he left the BJP and joined the Congress.

Popularly known as Shotgun, Shatrughan Sinha has been a minister in Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s government. He has been counted among the star campaigners of the BJP. Bankipur seat is a Kayastha-dominated area. Luv Sinha is also a Kayastha. For this reason, Shatrughan Sinha has launched his son in politics from here. In the 2015 elections, Nitin Naveen defeated Ashish Kumar of Congress by 39,767 votes. Since the battle is triangular this time, Congress seems likely to win.
