“Who Gave You Permission To Become General Dyer?” Tejashwi Yadav Questions Govt Role In Munger Incident

Tejashwi Yadav said that the police were searching and beating people. “The video clip is heart-wrenching,” he said.

 

Patna| The first phase of voting for the assembly elections in Bihar is going on. Meanwhile, the press conference of the Grand Alliance was called in Patna. Talking to the media, the Congress party raised the issue of a shooting incident in Munger during immersion of the Durga idol. Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said that today the Prime Minister is coming to Bihar. He appealed that the government which ordered to fire bullets on the Durga idol must be sacked.

Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav was also present in this media briefing. He condemned the Munger incident. He said that the video clip clearly shows the attitude of the police. He questioned, “Why the police charged the people with lathis? Why did they shoot?” He expressed condolences to the family of the deceased.

Tejashwi Yadav said that the police were searching and beating people. “The video clip is heart-wrenching. No one understood the attitude of the police. This clearly shows that the government with the double engine has played a role in this. What has Sushil Modi done other than the tweet? Who asked you to become General Dyer?” Tejashwi said. He directly blamed the Bihar government for the Munger incident. He also pointed out that the SP of Munger is the daughter of JDU leader.

Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said that Nitish Kumar, Sushil Modi will have to answer to this.
