Lucknow: The Bhartiya Janta Party has released it’s Manifesto at Uttar Pradesh, ahead of Assembly Elections. In the Manifesto they have made many big promises to the people of Uttar Pradesh. The Manifesto was released by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister Anurag Thakur, UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, and BJP State Chief Swatantra Dev Singh.

BJP has named its manifesto as ‘Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra’. In the manifesto of BJP, there is special emphasis on farmers, employment, law and order, business, women empowerment and youth. During this, the Home Minister also launched the BJP’s election song – ‘BJP ne kar ke dikhaya hai’.

Shah released the manifesto during a ‘Jan sabha’ in Lucknow’s Indira Gandhi Pratishthan. The party has made four major promises in its manifesto.

The first promise of the manifesto is to double the amount of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PMKISAN) scheme for landless farmers. Currently, the PM-Kisan amount is Rs 6,000 annually which is directly transferred to beneficiaries in three installments of Rs 2,000 each.

The next promise is for the female voters as the party promises to give a scooty to the female students and working women. It also promises free coaching to female students preparing for UPSC and PSC.

The manifesto then looks at the needs of the students, promising a laptop to the students considering the online education system that has developed due to the covid-19 pandemic. It also promises to generate employment for the youth of the state and give at least one job to every household.

The party also promises to give three free cylinders every year to the consumers under the Ujjwala Yojna. The scheme provides a free gas connection to households and the cost of the same will be covered by the state government.

The party has also promised the renovation of the Krishna Janmabhoomi temple which has been in the headlines for some time now.

The BJP manifesto was earlier scheduled to be released on February 7, but it was postponed in light of legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar’s demise.

The Uttar Pradesh assembly elections are set to take place in seven phases. The first phase of the elections will take place on February 10.
