The Indian government has lifted a decades-old ban on government employees participating in Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) activities, effective July 9, 2024. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh criticized the move, stating, “The bureaucracy can now come in knickers too.” BJP’s Amit Malviya welcomed the decision, calling the original ban “unconstitutional” and praising its removal.
