Although the Peregrine Lunar Lander initially separated successfully from the Vulcan rocket during its launch from Cape Canaveral, it encountered malfunctions hours later. Specifically, Astrobotic reported an inability to orient Peregrine’s solar panels toward the Sun to charge its batteries.
