Heavy Rain In Sri Lanka Claims 15 Lives; Schools Closed

Over the weekend, severe monsoonal rainfall wreaked havoc in Sri Lanka, causing widespread devastation. At least 15 fatalities were reported across seven districts, including Colombo. More than 19,000 individuals from over 5,000 families were affected, with flash floods, uprooted trees, strong winds, lightning, and landslides reported, according to the Disaster Management Centre (DMC).
