Kangana Ranaut Issued Notice By HC, Election Challenged

The Himachal Pradesh High Court has issued a notice to Kangana Ranaut, BJP Lok Sabha member from Mandi, following a petition challenging her election. A Kinnaur resident claims his nomination papers were wrongly rejected. Justice Jyotsna Rewal directed Ranaut to respond by August 21. Ranaut had defeated Congress candidate Vikramaditya Singh by 74,755 votes, polling 5,37,002 votes against Singhโ€™s 4,62,267.
