Manipur District Cut Off As Floodwaters Damage Key Bridge

Cyclone Remal wreaked havoc in Manipur’s Kangpokpi district, cutting off power, water, communication, and other services and damaging a key bridge. Flash floods struck the district headquarters on Tuesday, inundating low-lying areas. The district hospital’s block, including the laboratory, examination room, restroom, kitchen, and emergency room, was flooded, forcing authorities to halt services for a day.
