Muslim League Jammu Kashmir Termed As ‘Unlawful Association’ Under UAPA

On Wednesday, the Central government designated the Muslim League Jammu Kashmir (MLJK-MA) faction as an ‘unlawful association’ under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967. Party leader, Masarat Alam Bhat, orchestrated the 2010 stone-pelting protests in Kashmir, leading to 112 casualties. Amit Shah expressed on X the MLJK-MA members’ engagement in anti-national and secessionist activities.
