PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday projected India to become the world’s third-largest economy by his third term. Speaking at the ‘Journey Towards Viksit Bharat’ conference, Modi claimed that the Budget has tripled to Rs 48 lakh crore since 2014, with capex rising fivefold. He suggested that despite global challenges, India’s “fiscal prudence” and “16% share in global growth” demonstrate economic strength.
