U.S. Urges China To Press Iran On Houthi Attacks: Reports

The U.S. has requested China’s intervention to persuade Tehran to curb Houthi attacks on commercial vessels in the Red Sea. Despite ongoing discussions between U.S. officials, including National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan and Secretary of State Antony Blinken, there is limited evidence that China has exerted meaningful pressure on Iran to restrain the Houthi rebels.
