Afghan intelligence convoy attacked by Taliban; 5 killed

Kabul | An Afghan Intelligence Convoy on Thursday was attacked in a suicide blast by Taliban which killed around 5 people and injured 6, said Police.

According to police spokesperson Hashmat Stanikzai, attacked happened at 5:00 am local time and Four members of the NDS and a civilian were killed, while five NDS personnel and a civilian were wounded. “The attacker was “most likely” driving a vehicle carrying explosives,” he added.

The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack on the National Directorate of Security (NDS).

Earlier on Sunday, in a suicide attack near Kabul international airport, killed 23 people, including AFP driver Mohammad Akhtar and around107 people were wounded. Claiming the attack ISIS said it had targeted Afghan Vice President Abdul Rashid Dostum, who returned to Kabul after more than a year in exile.
