Now Israel and UAE will be able to start diplomatic missions i. e. Embassy in each other’s countries.
Riyadh | A historic peace agreement was reached between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), considered arch enemies on Thursday. US President Donald Trump, who plays the middleman between the two countries, himself informed about the peace agreement on Twitter.
This is Israel’s only third agreement with an Arab country after independence in 1948. Prior to this, it has entered into agreements with Jordan and Egypt.
Decrease Tensions In Middle East
The UAE and Israel agreement received a shock and awe reaction from the neighbours. While Palestine is opposing it, many other countries are surprised by the agreement. However, ‘Back door diplomacy’ had been going on for many years between Israel and the UAE. But, now both countries have publicly announced the peace agreement. Israel has currently postponed its intention to settlement or, in other words, occupation in the West Bank . This will reduce tensions in the Gulf countries and Israel.

Many months of dialogue that were kept secret
Trump had been trying for the deal for several months. All kinds of dialogues were kept very secret. This is the reason why many countries were surprised when it was announced on Thursday night. The reason is also clear. The enmity between Israel and the Arab or Gulf countries is as historical as this agreement. Trump negotiated with Netanyahu and Sheikh Zayed over the phone to establish it firmly before the deal was announced. Now Israel and UAE will be able to start diplomatic missions i. e. Embassy in each other’s countries.

Trump eyes to isolate Iran
The first and apparent objective of the deal is to clamp down on Iran. Iran is a Shia dominated country. It has strained relations with both Arab countries and the United States. It also consider s Israel a staunch enemy. Iran wants to gain nuclear power. America, Israel and Arab countries want to stop it. Now that the UAE and Israel have formally come closer, the US will gain more strength. He will be able to clamp down on Iran. On the other hand, Trump will present it as his victory before the presidential election in November.
