Brazil President Bolsonaro Threatens Journalist, Says “Want To Pound Your Face With Punches”

Close aid to President Bolsonaro and his son Flavio is accused of embezzling the salaries of government employees. The reporter questioned about this.

 

Sao Paulo| Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro flared up on Sunday on a question related to the corruption allegations on his wife. When a news reporter asked him about his wife Michelle Bolsonaro’s involvement in a corruption case, he was visibly riled up and ended up threatening the journalist. He said, “I want to pound your face with punches.” After this, the media persons present there started protesting. However, he escaped by ignoring the protesting journalists. He declined to comment on the matter.

There have been reports of Michell and retired police officer Fabricio Curios being involved in corruption. Curios is currently a member of the Senate and is considered close to President and his son Flavio. He is accused of embezzling the salaries of government employees. The reporter questioned the president about this.

Embezzled money came in Michelle’s account

According to a report in Brazil’s Crusoe magazine, corruption accused Cueroz deposited the money in Michel Bolsonaro’s account between 2011 and 2016. This was the same amount of salary of the employees, which was embezzled. Salaries of government employees were rigged before Bolsonaro became president in January 2019. Flavio was then an MP from Rio de Janeiro.
