Coronavirus: Boris Johnson Discharged From Hospital

The development comes a week after Johnson was admitted to the St Thomas’s Hospital in central London on April 5.

London| The Prime Minister of United Kingdom Boris Johnson was discharged from the hospital on Sunday, a downing street spokesperson informed. The development comes a week after Johnson was admitted to the St Thomas’s Hospital in central London on April 5, after he persistently showed the symptoms of the disease caused by the novel coronavirus. He was moved into the intensive care unit on 6th April and he stayed in there till 9th April.

“The PM has been discharged from hospital to continue his recovery, at Chequers,” the spokesperson informed. Chequers is the PM’s country estate outside London.

The Spokesperson also said,

“On the advice of his medical team, the PM will not be immediately returning to work.”

Earlier, Johnson had thanked the staff of the country’s National Health Service at the hospital. He had said, “I can’t thank them enough. I owe them my life.”
