‘Coronavirus’ Outbreak Spreads, 56 Dead and 2000 Affected In China

Many medical personnel are being deployed in Wuhan and other areas to treat the affected and control the outburst of the new virus.

Shanghai| The newly spread Coronavirus has killed 56 people in China whereas around 2000 people are affected by the virus. China reported 15 more deaths on Sunday, reporting one death in metropolitan Shanghai. Thirteen more deaths were reported from the state of Hubei, where the initial outbreak began. The total number of deaths reported so far are 56.

Across China, 688 cases of the virus were diagnosed on Saturday, the government said early Sunday. That makes the total number of confirmed cases 1,975.

The earlier deaths due to virus were reported around Hubei, the outbreak’s epicenter. But the death in Shanghai, which is one of China’s most populous cities and a major commercial hub, is supposed to grow anxieties about the disease’s spread.

The virus is reported to be spreading in other neighboring countries of China such as Thailand, Nepal and others, where number of affected people are in single digits.

Chinese President Xi Jinping today informed that the virus is accelerating at rapid speed. He also warned the other countries about the spread. He said that their country is facing a ‘grave problem’.
