After Coronavirus Pandemic, New ‘Hantavirus’ Detected in China

After the Coronavirus that has wreaked havoc all across the globe, a new virus called ‘Hantavirus’ has appeared in China.

Beijing| tryst with viruses doesn’t seem to be ending. After the Coronavirus that has wreaked havoc all across the globe, a new virus called ‘Hantavirus’ has appeared in China.

In the Yunnan province of China, a man who tested positive for Hantavirus has died.

The man died on a chartered bus while returning to Shandong Province for work, reported the Global Times.

According to the report, 32 more people have been tested positive by the virus. The news coming out about the Hantavirus sent panic chills across the world on Tuesday amid the Coronavirus outbreak. People speculated that the virus is another corona-like virus that can kill many.

It’s been found that the people who get infected with the Hantavirus usually come in contact with Rodents like rats or mice. Rodents act as a carrier for the Hantavirus.

It is said that one can get infected by the virus by touching their eyes, nose or mouth after touching rodent droppings, urine, or nesting materials.

The early symptoms of the Hantavirus are said to be fever, headache, muscle ache, abdominal pain, dizziness, chills, and abdominal problems. The other symptoms of the virus include nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea.

The late symptoms are lungs filled with fluid and shortness of breath.
