People have called for an arrest of Trilok Singh after he made obscene remarks against an Indian woman on social media site. The Gulf News reported the story on Sunday.

In a Facebook post, Trilok Singh threatened a woman of rape.

His Facebook profile has been taken down now but the earlier screenshots show that he worked as a chef in the Lalit Hotel in Delhi before he moved to United Arab Emirates (UAE). After the backlash, the Lalit Hotel group has issued a statement informing that Trilok isn’t working for them for the last two years. They also informed that they are reporting his profile to Facebook for removing his working status with the group.

It’s not clear where Trilok works in Dubai at this point but his profile before being taken down suggested that he worked for a university in Dubai.

After a complainant tweeted to Dubai police about the incident, they suggested filing a complaint on their e-crime portal.

As reported by Gulf News, people indulging in abusive language on social media can be tried under the UAE cybercrime law which punishes the guilty with a penalty such as jail and/or fines between 50,000 and 3 million dirhams.

Last year an Indian working in Dubai was sacked and deported for celebrating the terror attack in New Zealand which took 50 lives.

In another one such instance, a supervisor at Abu Dhabi firm was fired after he uploaded a Facebook video in which he threatened to kill Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
