President Rouhani to talk on key points like trade, oil and ports.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani is to meet PM Modi today in Delhi, to discuss bilateral ties. On his three-day visit to India, his main target is to discuss ways to strengthen the ties between the two countries. India and Iran is likely to sign a number of pacts, like trade, crude oil and connectivity.
Rouhani and Modi also to hold a discussion on strengthening the Chabahar Port. India will invest $85 million for equipping the port in the South-east parts of Iran. The two leaders are also looking further to talk about other important issues to improve the security.

The Iran president is going to address at the Observer Research Foundation after meeting the PM and other Indian leaders.
Rouhani has stressed on issues on the importance of deep-water ports and said it will open up a smooth progress route for India to Iran, Central Asian countries, Afghanistan (bypassing Pakistan) and also Europe.
Apart from India being the second-biggest importer of Iranian crude oil, natural gas resources and cooperation on oil will also be their key agenda.
“Iran is rich in oil and natural gas resources. It is ready to share its natural resources with India for its development and progress,” said President Rouhani on yesterday’s meet.
The Iranian President has said they are hopeful that India will give positive response to simplify visa rules to expand people-to-people contact between the two countries.
