“Is Trump a policeman of the whole world?” asks Asaduddin Owaisi on Modi-Trump phone call

Owaisi said, “Our PM spoke to Donald Trump on Kashmir over the phone. What is Trump for us? Is he a policeman of the whole world or is he a Chaudhary?”

Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has raised questions on the mediation offered by US President Donald Trump on the Kashmir issue. Owaisi’s reaction came a day after PM Modi and US President Donald Trump’s phone conversation about Kashmir. On Monday, a phone conversation took place between PM Modi and Trump for about 30 minutes. PM Modi said that Pakistan is trying to spoil peace in the valley.

Expressing disappointment over the talks between PM Modi and Donald Trump, Asaduddin Owaisi said, “I am surprised by a phone conversation between Trump and PM Modi to discuss a bilateral issue. PM Modi‘s move confirms what Trump had earlier claimed on Kashmir. This is a bilateral issue And no third party is allowed to interfere.”

Asaduddin Owaisi further asked if Trump is the “policeman” or ‘Chaudhary’ of the whole world. He said,

“We have been saying from the beginning that Kashmir is a bilateral issue. India has a very stable stand on it. Then what was the need for Prime Minister Modi to talk to American President Donald Trump and complain about it.”

Owaisi said, “Our PM spoke to Donald Trump on Kashmir over the phone. What is Trump for us? Is he a policeman of the whole world or is he a Chaudhary?”

A day after the phone conversation, talking to reporters, US President Donald Trump said that he is ready to mediate between India and Pakistan. Calling Kashmir a complicated situation, he said that the Hindus and Muslims don’t get along very well. “You have millions of people who want to be ruled by others, maybe on both sides. And then you have two countries, that haven’t gotten along well for a long time, ” Trump said.
