In an advisory tweeted on its handle in all capitals, Indian embassy in Ukraine today told Indian citizens to “leave Kharkiv immediately”. Kharkiv is the second largest city of Ukraine which has come under heavy attack from Russian troops in the last couple of days.
“URGENT ADVISORY TO ALL INDIAN NATIONALS IN KHARKIV. FOR THEIR SAFETY AND SECURITY THEY MUST LEAVE KHARKIV IMMEDIATELY. PROCEED TO PESOCHIN, BABAYE AND BEZLYUDOVKA AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. UNDER ALL CIRCUMSTANCES THEY MUST REACH THESE SETTLEMENTS *BY 1800 HRS (UKRAINIAN TIME) TODAY,” Indian embassy tweeted.
Just a few minutes after the tweet by the Indian Embassy, the Russian army launched a cruise missile aimed at an administrative building in Kharkiv.
