“Mere Propoaganda”: Pakistan denies India’s claim of BAT infiltration across LoC

Pakistan Army spokesperson, Major General Asif Gafoor in a tweet said that India is trying to spread disinformation to divert attention from Kashmir.

 

New Delhi| Neighbouring Pakistan today denied the claim made by India that there was an attempt by the country’s border Action Team to infiltrate into the Indian territory. On the other hand, the Pakistani army called it “mere propaganda”. It also said that India is trying to divert attention from Kashmir.

On Saturday, the Indian army gunned down five to seven BAT soldiers who were trying to infiltrate the Indian territory. The Army, however, foiled the bid at Jammu and Kashmir’s Keran sector. Pakistan Army spokesperson, Major General Asif Gafoor in a tweet said that India is trying to spread disinformation.

He said, “Indian allegations of cross LOC action by Pakistan and possession of bodies are mere propaganda. Such blatant lies / staged dramas are Indian disinformation manoeuvre to divert world attention from increased atrocities by Indian Occupation Forces inside IOJ&K.”

Pakistan’s Foreign Office also issued a statement at mid-night rejecting Indian claims. “We reject Indian allegations of cross-LOC action by Pakistan and possession of bodies,” Foreign Office said.

Indian Army had reportedly asked the Pakistan army to approach them by raising white flags and take back the bodies of BAT soldiers.
