New Zealand Prime minister Jacinda Ardern said that the manifesto was sent to security services within two minutes of receiving it.
Christchurch| New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern on Sunday revealed that she had received the manifesto of the gunman accused of killing 50 people in Christchurch mosque. The online “Manifesto” prepared by the gunman Brenton Tarrant was mailed by him minutes before the attack.
Ardern told reporters, “I was one of more than 30 recipients of the manifesto that was mailed out nine minutes before the attack took place.” However, she added that the manifesto did not contain the exact location and any other specific details. “It did not include a location, it did not include specific details,” she said.
Ardern said that she had read the content in the manifesto and called it disturbing. “The fact that there was an ideological manifesto with extreme views attached to this attack, of course, that is deeply disturbing,” she said.
She further said that the manifesto was sent to security services within two minutes of receiving it.
