“Ready to join impeachment investigation”: US President Donald Trump

After the letter was written, Trump said, “Democrat investigators are violating the right to hire Republican Party lawyers.”

 

Washington| US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he was ready to join the impeachment investigation. But it must be under the right rules. Speaker of the House of Representatives (the lower house of the US Congress) Nancy Pelosi spoke of impeachment of Trump. Pelosi is a Democrat Party MP.

Trump was questioned whether he was ready to support the impeachment motion brought by Democrats. To this, he said, “If they (Democrats) give us the right reasons, I have no problem with the impeachment investigation.” Earlier in the White House, in a letter on Tuesday, Democrats had said that they are taking a non-cooperative attitude with the administration.

Letter to Pelosi from the White House

White House counsel Pat Cipollone wrote letters to Pelosi, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, Oversight and Reform Committee head Eliza Cummings, and Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Elliot Engel. He said, “You are all in a respected position. The way the impeachment investigation is going on, basic rights and constitutional process are being violated in it. ”

After the letter was written, Trump said, “Democrat investigators are violating the right to hire Republican Party lawyers.” They do not want to put us in the right process. This is the most unjust situation ever. ”

Impeachment against Trump

Nancy Pelosi spoke of holding an impeachment enquiry on Trump on 24 September. Trump is accused of pressuring Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zalensky to investigate a corruption case against Democrat leader Joe Biden and his son Hunter. A whistleblower had filed a complaint in the case. However, Trump has said that he is ready to give details of the conversation with Jalensky in a phone call.
