Those Promoting Terrorism, Must Be Held Accountable: India Slams Pakistan At UNSC For Aiding War In Afghanistan

Indian Ambassador TS Tirumurti, who is chairing this important meeting of the Security Council, said that for peace in Afghanistan, it is necessary to eliminate terrorist sanctuaries.

 

Geneva| While chairing the United Nations Security Council, India has been instrumental in uniting the global community against Taliban violence in Afghanistan and creating diplomatic pressure. In the meeting held on Friday night under the leadership of India, various countries took a stance against the violence. In this meeting, Pakistan, which was supporting the atrocities of the Taliban, was also exposed. Afghanistan itself highlighted Pakistan’s role behind the Taliban. Meanwhile, India, which is chairing the emergency meeting, said it was important to hold those accountable who promote terrorism. Security Council members unanimously called for a ceasefire to stop the violence. Pakistan was not included in the meeting.

Indian Ambassador TS Tirumurti, who is chairing this important meeting of the Security Council, said that for peace in Afghanistan, it is necessary to eliminate terrorist sanctuaries. At the same time, there is a need to eliminate the logistics lines that supply logistics to terrorists and adopt a policy of zero tolerance against every form of terrorism. India urged the Security Council, after reviewing the situation, to take immediate steps for a ceasefire for comprehensive peace in Afghanistan.

Afghanistan exposed Pakistan

The Afghan representative at the meeting said that the Taliban have intensified their barbaric attacks, which has made the situation very serious. He expressed concern that foreign fighters were also involved with the Taliban. Ghulam Isaczai, Afghanistan’s ambassador to the United Nations, called on the Pakistani government to cut off the Taliban’s supply line, citing help being given to Taliban fighters in Pakistan and treatment in hospitals there. He said that there was a lot of video evidence coming to light indicating financial resources being raised for the Taliban in Pakistan.
