“US Shifting Military To India and Southeast Asia From Europe”: Pompeo

Pompeo reported that the Trump administration reviewed the worldwide deployment of the US military two years ago.

 

Washington| The US Army will be shifted from Europe. On Thursday, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that the United States is shifting its troops in view of China’s threat to India and Southeast Asia. Pompeo said that the US is reducing the number of troops in Europe.

Pompeo was asked the question in the Brussels Forum on the reasons why America reduced the number of its troops in Germany? Pompeo said that the US will send its soldiers to face other challenges elsewhere.

He said that the Chinese Communist Party’s action means that there is a danger with India in Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and South China Sea. Pompeo said that The United States military is well positioned to meet these challenges.
