US President Donald Trump’s term ends today. A few hours later, President-Elect Joe Biden will become the new President of the US. Earlier in his farewell speech on Tuesday, Trump listed his government’s achievements and congratulated the new government.
Trump said that he is proud to be the first President of the decade without any war. He said that his govt established the strength of America at home and took American leadership to new heights even in the world. “We united the world against China, it has never happened before,” Trump said in his parting message.

1. Condemned the violent attack on Capitol Hill
In a 19-minute pre-recorded video, Trump condemned the violence at Capitol Hill earlier this month. He said that America is a country of incredible, civilized, dependable and peace loving people. Everyone here wants our country to move forward and touch new heights.
2. Thanked Supporters
Recalling his tenure, Trump said that 4 years ago, they started a national campaign to rebuild the country, renew its spirit and restore the government’s loyalty to the people. He thanked his supporters for choosing him in 2016. He said that he cannot express this honor in words.

“We all embarked on a mission to make America great again. We built the largest economy in the history of the world,” Trump said. He also listed the Abraham Accord in the Middle East as a historic feat achieved during his tenure.
4. China and Coronavirus find mention in Trump’s Departing Message
Trump said, “We imposed historical tariffs on China. Made a big deal with China, but before the ink dries we and the whole world were hit by the Chinese virus. Our business relations were changing rapidly. Billions and billions of dollars were being invested in America, but the virus forced us to go in a different direction.”

Trump also wished the Biden administration success. Trump thanked wife Melania and family at the Farewell Speech. He also thanked Vice President Mike Pence.
