Congress releases new list of candidates; retains Schindia from Guna

New Delhi | The Congress Party today released its new list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha election.

In a new list of 7 candidates, the Congress party has announced 7 candidates from 4 states of Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir and Bihar. The key candidate in the newly released includes Congress general secretary Jyotiraditya Scindia from Guna constituency in Madhya Pradesh. Former union minister Manish Tewari is also been announced as the candidate for Anandpur Sahib seat in Punjab.

Other candidates in the list include Shashwat Kedar from Valmiki Nagar in Bihar, Rigzin Spalbar from Ladakh in Jammu and Kashmir, Shailendra Patel from Vidisha in Madhya Pradesh and Kewal Singh Dhillon from Sangrur in Punjab.

With the newly announced list, the total candidates for the 2019 Lok Sabha election has reached to 386.
