New Delhi | The Ministry of Home Affairs has sent out a notice to put the nation on an alert over possible eruption of violence in relation to the counting of the votes.
MHA asks States and Union Territories to maintain law & order, peace & public tranquillity.
They have also advised officials to take adequate measures for the security of strong rooms and venues of counting of votes.
Yesterday former Union Minister Upendra Kushwaha had warned that if someone was found tampering with the result, there would be “bloodshed”.
Responding, LJP Chief Ram Vilas Paswan had said that there will be “tit for tat” in case of violence.
The result of the seven-phase 2019 Lok Sabha Elections will take place tomorrow.
