Kejriwal should quit politics if I am found innocent in Pamphlet row: Gambhir

New Delhi | Responding to AAP’s allegation of circulating derogatory pamphlets about AAP candidate Atishi in the East Delhi constituency, BJP candidate Gautam Gambhir challenged Arvind Kejriwal that if found guilty he will withdraw my candidature, however, he further asked that if he is found innocent, then will the Delhi CM resign.

In a series of tweet, Gambhir attacked Kejriwal on this incident and wrote, “I abhor your act of outraging a woman’s modesty Arvind Kejriwal and that too your own colleague. And all this for winning elections? U r filth Mr CM and someone needs ur very own झाड़ू (broom) to clean ur dirty mind.”

Gambhir challenged Arvind Kejriwal and said,” I declare that if its proven that I did it, I will withdraw my candidature right now. If not, will u quit politics?” The Cricketer turned Politician also added that he is ashamed to have a Chief Minister like Kejriwal.

Earlier today the Aam Aadmi Party alleged that cricketer turned politician and BJP candidate from East Delhi Lok Sabha seat Gautam Gambhir circulated derogatory pamphlets about AAP candidate Atishi in the East Delhi constituency.

Addressing a press conference, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said,” BJP candidate Gautam Gambhir circulated derogatory pamphlet about Atishi in East Delhi constituency and the language in this pamphlet is so abusive and low that everybody will feel ashamed while reading it.”

” We would have clapped for Gambhir when he used to bash opponents with fours and sixes while playing for India but we never in our worst dream, had thought that this man would stoop this low to win an election,” added Sisodia.

AAP candidate from East Delhi Atishi questioning Gambhir on his action asked,” If Gambhir can stoop so low to defeat her in the election than if he gets elected as a Member of Parliament than will he assure the safety of women in East Delhi?”

Polling on the East Delhi constituency will be held on May 12 in the 6th phase of Lok Sabha election. Aam Aadmi Party Atishi is contesting against BJP’s Gautam Gambhir and Congress’ Arvinder Singh Lovely.
