Kerala: CM Vijayan confident of victory, says Sabarimala issue won’t affect polls

Thiruvananthapuram | Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan today rejecting the exit polls for the Lok Sabha results in Kerala said the ruling CPI(M) led LDF is going to win big in the state.

Speaking to News agency ANI, Vijayan rejected the idea that the Sabarimala issue will affect the poll results in Kerala. He said,” We are going to win big. Sabarimala issue didn’t affect polls in Kerala. All of us know who created troubles there.”

Exit polls on Sunday predicted a comeback for the Congress-led UDF predicting that UDF will be winning around 15 seats in Kerala while the CPI(M) led LDF will be restricted to just 4 seats while the NDA is likely to be opening its account in Kerala which sends 20 representatives to the lower house. In 2014 General elections, LDF won 12 seats while the UDF won 8 seats out of 20 seats.
