The state of Andhra Pradesh has played a key role in the path of 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Ruling Telegu Desam Party had withdrawn its support from the BJP led NDA in 2018 over the demand for special status for the state. The development led to the no-confidence motion in the Lok Sabha. Ever since then Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was in the forefront of bringing the opposition parties together against BJP.
On the other hand, YSR Congress’ Jagan Mohan Reddy launched a 3,000-km-long PrajaSankalpaYatra in 2017 across 125 Assembly segments in 13 districts of the state in 430 days. With this Yatra, Jagan Mohan Reddy tried to connect every possible section in his way for the preparation of 2019 Lok Sabha and State assembly election.
According to the Politicians Poll conducted by HW News, the PrajaSankalpa Yatra has help YSRCP to revive its political ground. In the 25 parliamentary seats, Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSRCP is likely to win 15 seats while Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP will be getting 8 seats. While the UPA is likely to win 2 seats in Andhra Pradesh.
