#Elections2019: What is the Mood in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry?


The 2019 Lok Sabha elections has begun and voting for the first phase ended today. Voting wass being held in 91 Lok Sabha seats in as many as 20 states and Union territories. Besides this, people in Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha also voted for their respective assembly elections. The Election Commission of India has made elaborate security arrangements to ensure the polls are conducted in a free and fair manner. There are a total of 14.21 crore electors in phase 1. Some of the major states will go to poll in the second phase.the southern state of tamil Nadu is among them. In the last five years, Tamil politics saw major ups and downs. The two political heavyweights of tamil Nadu who controlled two dominating parties in the state passed away. J Jayalalitha, amma as she was called by the AIADMK cadre and DMK’s M Karunanidhi the kalaignar. #MoodTiranga #LokSabha2019 #TamilNadu
