300 Units Of Free Electricity If Came To Power: Akhilesh Yadav

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has made a big announcement before Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections. Just like Aam Aadmi Party, even he is willing to give 300 units of free electricity for households. He will also provide free electricity to farmers for irrigation. This freebie is only available only if he is voted and wins the Assembly Elections.

These promises were made by him while addressing a public meeting in Lucknow on Saturday. “Domestic consumers will be given free electricity up to 300 units by the SP government. Farmers will get free electricity to irrigate their fields,” the former UP chief minister said.

Akhilesh Yadav tweeted, “Warm greetings and best wishes for the new year! Now in ‘New UP’ in 2022, there will be a new year with new light. 300 units of domestic electricity free and irrigation bill will be waived. May the new year give everyone peace and happiness. The SP government will come and get 300 units of free domestic electricity and irrigation electricity free of cost.”

It may be recalled that AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal made similar poll promises to guarantee free electricity in the states of Goa and Punjab, where assembly elections are due later this year.

Earlier, the Samajwadi Party (SP) had announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh each to the cyclists who died in the accident by tweeting. The party had tweeted and said, in case of accidental death of cyclists, the SP government will give a compensation of Rs 5 lakh. Now the Samajwadi Party has promised free electricity.

On this occasion, Akhilesh Yadav called upon the workers to get ready for the elections. The kind of support SP is getting from the public, surely, Samajwadi Party will win the elections. On presenting the bouquets to the workers, Akhilesh Yadav said that those who have brought the bouquet should take the responsibility of making the party win at the booth. 2022 will prove to be the year of change for the state.
