3.5 Magnitude Earthquake Hits East Of J&K’s Katra

Katra: A 3.5 magnitude earthquake hit Jammu and Kashmir’s Katra on Thursday. As per the National Center of Seismology (NCS), the depth of the earthquake was five kilometers and about 84 km East of Katra at around 3:03 am.

“Earthquake of Magnitude:3.5, Occurred on 17-02-2022, 03:02:45 IST, Lat: 33.08 & Long: 75.83, Depth: 5 Km, Location: 84km E of Katra, Jammu, and Kashmir,” tweeted the government agency NCS.

No loss of life or any damage has been reported. 

Yesterday, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.5 hit Pahalgam in South Kashmir.
