AIPC Writes To HCL Chairperson Regarding Returning Of Bonuses Of Exiting Staffs

Bengaluru: HCL technologies have caused controversy since they have been asking existing employees to return their bonuses that were granted to them every month during the fiscal.

All India Professionals’ Congress Adv. Mathew Antony ( AIPC) Maharashtra have also written to Roshni Nadar Malhotra, ChairPerson of HCL Technologies. “We have decided to issue this letter for your consideration ,after having the samediscussed in our State executive committee , when we discussed the concerns raisedto us by a few employees of your reputed organization , with respect to themanagement’s, decision to deduct the already paid out bonus,while doing their full and final settlements. We prefer not to interfere in your internal decision making and are concluding thisletter with the expectation that , this will be considered with all its seriousness andappropriate decisions are made to the best interest of your company, your mostvaluable asset – your employees and therefore the Nation.” the letter read.

All India Professionals Congress is a department of the Indian National Congress Party to represent the professionals and actively invoke their interest to participate in Nation building.

The company claimed that it is not doing anything that the employees id not already know. But for employees, many as of who had already spent at least the part of money they received, the demand is turning out to be troublesome. Some of the employees have reached out to IT employee Union.

An HCL email sent in November said the employees performance bonus (EPB) will be paid in monthly basis. It is said the amount will be paid in advance and then goes on to say: If the employee resigns and the last working day is during September 1,2021 to March, 31, 2022, EPB amount from April 2021, till the last working day will be recovered in full.
