Aryan Khan Drugs Case: 2 NCB Officers Suspended For ‘Suspicious Activities’

Mumbai: Vishwa Vijay Singh and Asshish Ranjan Prasad, two Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officers, have been suspended for allegedly engaging in “suspicious activities.” They were also members of the squad that investigated superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan, in the drugs-on-cruise case.

According to media reports, the ongoing inquiry by the vigilance team of NCB claimed that both had indulged in ‘suspicious activity’ and that is the reason for their suspension.

In the cruise drugs case, Singh was the investigating officer, while Prasad was his subordinate. The cause for the suspension is unknown at this time. It’s unclear whether they’ve been suspended as a result of their involvement in the cruise narcotics investigation.

Following claims of extortion against the NCB team, five cases were transferred to NCB SIT, including the cruise drugs case. A vigilance investigation led by a Deputy Director-General level officer was also begun, and numerous officers, including Singh and Prasad, gave testimony.

Following a raid at Mumbai’s International Cruise Terminal on October 3 of last year, the NCB apprehended Aryan Khan. During the raid on the Cordelia cruise from Mumbai to Goa, the drug enforcement agency recovered 13 grams of cocaine, five grams of mephedrone, 21 grams of charas, and 22 MDMA/Ecstasy pills.

A total of 20 individuals were arrested in connection with the case. Out of these, 18 are now out on bail, including Aryan Khan. The actor’s son was booked under sections 8C, 20B, 27 and 35 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.Live TV
