Asaddudin Owaisi Slams Union Government Over China’s Ladakh Claim

New Delhi: Hyderabad MP Asaddudin Owaisi hit out at the Union Government, and questioned the Centre on why China is claiming that the Ladakh issue resolved.

Taking to Twitter, Asaduddin Owaisi said, “China is claiming that everything is already resolved with India in Hot Springs in Ladakh. Will the Government please confirm whether this is true? If that is so, what were the last two rounds of border talks about?” Owaisi tweeted referring to a news report.

Owaisi said that he had personally been raising questions repeatedly about the situation on the Ladakh border “where Indian soldiers are being denied access to territories they patrolled earlier”.

He thereby added that the government has refused to state the truth so far. Even in the Parliament, they are maintaining silence and misdirecting people, Owaisi said.

Owaisi also alleged that, “The attitude and approach of the government on sensitive issues of national security, including our territorial integrity, is unacceptable.

He further demanded, “A proper debate in Parliament about the Ladakh border crisis and on our strategy to deal with China.”

He questioned the government and asked, “Why is the country and the MPs, who represent this country, not being taken into confidence by the government? This is to detriment of our interests which are best secured by a country that is united in its stance.”

Earlier, he had questioned Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s statement in Parliament about the accidental missile launch against Pakistan. He said that the defence minister’s statement “tells us nothing”.
