Assembly Elections: Voters Turn Out Till 9 AM – UP, Uttarakhand, Goa

New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur, Goa and Punjab Election Latest Updates: The polls will be a litmus test for the Modi government’s policies that have been targeted by Congress, AAP and other opposition parties.

Goa, on Monday, recorded a voter turnout of 11.04 per cent, while the corresponding figures in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand were 9.45 per cent and 5.15 per cent respectively till 9 am. Voting kicked off in Goa and the 55 seats of Uttar Pradesh at 7 am on Monday, while polling in Uttarakhand started at 8 am. While union Home Minister Amit and BSP Chief Mayawati appealed people to go out and vote.

Amroha witnessed the highest percentage of voter turnout of 10.83 per cent followed by Sambhal (10.76 per cent) and Moradabad (9.86 per cent).
