New Delhi: On Tuesday, TMC MP Mahua Moitra chastised the BJP for posting a video of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi partying in a nightclub in Kathmandu, Nepal.
The fiery parliamentarian, who is known for her bluntness, chastised “BJP trolls” for their alleged double standards, claiming that what the Gandhi scion does in his personal life is none of their business.
“How on earth is it anybody’s business whether Rahul Gandhi or anybody else is in nightclub or at wedding in private time? Sick BJP trolls in charge should stick to doing what they do best- leading double lives with beer in teapots,” Mahua Moitra wrote in a tweet.
On Twitter earlier today, BJP leaders published an undated video of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi with a companion at a poorly lit nightclub with others dancing to loud music in the background.
The footage was reportedly shot at a prominent nightclub in Kathmandu. On Monday, Rahul Gandhi was in Kathmandu for the wedding of his journalist friend Sumnima Udas at the Marriot Hotel.
The Congress also defended its leader vehemently, questioning whether there was anything wrong with a public figure attending a wedding function in their spare time.
