Bhagwant Mann To Announce Anti-Corruption Helpline On Matrydom Day

Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said he will announce an anti-corruption helpline number. For announcing this helpline, he has chosen March 23, the Matrydom Day. After Mann has taken up the charge of Punjab, this is first major announcement made by him.

He tweeted, “On the martyrdom day of Bhagat Singh ji, we release the anti-corruption helpline number. That will be my personal WhatsApp number. If anyone asks you for a bribe, send it to me by recording a video/audio of it. Strict action will be taken against the corrupt.”

He said that this would be his personal WhatsApp number. He asked people to record video or audio of any corrupt activity happening around them and send it on that WhatsApp number. He assured strict action would be taken against those who will be found seeking bribe.

Since AAP Government took over, reports were coming in from different tehsils of land registries being done free of cost.

Earlier, Punjab’s Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that he will announce a “very big decision” that no one has taken in the history of the north Indian state. Taking to Twitter Aam Aadmi Party’s new Chief Minister is creating a hype ahead of the announcement.

“A very big decision will be taken today in the interest of the people of Punjab. No one in the history of Punjab would have taken such a decision till date. I’ll announce shortly…,” Mann had posted on Twitter.

Addressing a maiden meeting after taking up charge as Chief Minister, at CMO this afternoon the Chief Minister said, “The people who have given us an opportunity to serve the state are the real rulers in the democracy, having the power to make the leaders to rule or show them the door.”
