Bikaner-Guwahati Express Train Derailed

New Delhi: A train accident has happened in Jalpaiguri, West Bengal. Several coaches of the Bikaner-Guwahati Express train derailed. Let us tell you that 6 bogies of the train have derailed. The incident happened after crossing Moynaguri. This train was going from Patna to Guwahati. Alipurduar DRM, SP and DM have all reached the spot and rescue work has started.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has given instructions for the treatment of the injured at the earliest and has also ordered for rescue operation.

Several passengers were seen jumping out of the bogies which overturned and the rescue mission is underway, one of the people aboard the Bikaner-Guwahati express said that “We felt a big jhatka and the bogies derailed”.

As of now no casualties have been reported. Railway officials later said at least 12 coaches were affected. The train was coming from Patna. Officials have rushed to the spot.
