BJP Demands NIA Probe Into Renjith Sreenivasan’s Murder

Kochi: In the murder case of OBC Morcha state president Renjith Sreenivasan, Kerala BJP chief K Surendran has demanded a National Investigation Agency. He claims that the police are searching for clues blindly in the case.

SDPI Workers are suspected to be the accused for murder of Renjith Sreenivasan.

They hacked him to death at his home in front of his family on the morning of December 19.

The Kerala Police has arrested four SDPI workers in connection with the murder. They were taken into custody after blood stains were found on their bikes.

“The ADGP [Additional Director General of Police] publicly accepted the incompetence of the police in the case. The department completely failed. They are leaking information to the Popular Front of India (PFI). CM Pinarayi Vijayan and the police department are helping the PFI,” said K Surendran.

“If the investigation is handed over to the national agencies, all criminals will be apprehended within 24 hours. If the culprits are not arrested with immediate effect, we will stage protests outside the homes of the Home Minister and CPI(M) party secretary. We will also approach the court against the police and home ministry,” added K Surendran.
