BJP Leader Slams MVA Government, Says Government Supports Ola Services And Ignores Tax Paying Taxi Drivers

Pune: Bhartiya Janta Party Leader Gopichand Padalkar slams Maha Vikas Aghadi Transport Minister Anil Parab and the Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar amid permitting the services of private two-wheeler taxies like Ola.

Taking to Twitter, Padalkar tweeted one video of an ola two-wheeler driver who was caught for drunk driving. He was caught in a drunk state and he had come to pickup up the customer who had booked a ride, after accepting the request from the application.

In the video, it is seen that when he was questioned the driver accepted that he is drunk and he was having another bottle of liquor in his pocket.

Padalkar further slams the MVA government for permitting these services to run and raised the question, how government permit such services without a background check? Is the government waiting for some mishap?

In his tweets, he wrote, “Apps like Ola, Uber, Rapido, Zoom are widely misused as two-wheeler taxis. But thousands of tax-paying autorickshaw drivers are kicked in the stomach.” He has tagged Transport minister Anil Parab in this tweet.

According to available information, this video is of the Pune area where an ola two-wheeler rider was on his way to pick up a customer who had booked a ride from Alka Talkies in Pune. He was spotted by local auto drivers with a quarter bottle of local liquor.

In his second tweet on this issue, Gopichand Padalkar targets Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar who is also Guardian Minister of Pune district.

In thread to the previous tweet, he attacks Ajit Pawar. He tweeted, “Guardian Minister @AjitPawarspeaks Is this happening with your blessings? Who are the beneficiaries of recovery? The drunken government is also endangering the lives of the passengers like this driver for a small amount of money.”
