BJP MLA And 35 Women Booked Amid Taking Out Motorcycle Rally On Shivaji Jayanti

Mumbai: BJP MLA from Chikhali in Buldhana Shweta Mahale and her 35 women supporters have been booked by local police for taking out Bike Rally for celebrating birth anniversary of Shivaji Maharaj. For violation of covid norms they have been booked by police. As per the local police officials the permission was denied for conducting this rally, citing covid restrictions in the state. 

In a video released by the BJP MLA Shweta Mahale, she is heard saying that they are proud of being booked. She said, “We are daughters of Jija Mata and if we have been booked by police for taking out silent bike rally to celebrate Shivaji Maharaj’s birth anniversary then we are proud of it. And we will conduct such act again and again.”

A local organisation named ‘Shivbhakt Shiv jayanti Samiti’ had organised motor cycle rally on February 19 to celebrate the birth anniversary of legendary Shivaji Maharaj. Along with BJP MLA Shweta Mahale there were many women from other political parties attended this motorcycle rally. Mahale and others booked for violating the district magistrate’s order of section 144. Mahale and others were booked under IPC188, 269 , 270 along with relevant section of epidemic act.
