Bomb Found In Abandoned Bag At Delhi’s Flower Market, Detonated

New Delhi: A flower market in east Delhi’s Ghazipur has been cordoned off after a suspicious abandoned bag, later found to contain a bomb, was found at the spot today.

The bomb disposal squad, along with fire tenders and the National Security Guard (NSG), have been deployed to the site. The bomb disposal squad has succeeded in detonating the bomb.

The Delhi Police Special Cell have also reached the site. Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana has confirmed to NDTV that the bomb found in the Ghazipur Mandi was an improvised explosive device (IED).

Further investigation is currently underway.
