Chitra Wagh Criticizes Govt Amid Women Atrocities, Visits Sexually Exploited Yeola Victims

Nashik: In Yeola, a mother and her three daughters were sexually assaulted and forced for religious conversion. BJP leader Chitra Wagh criticized Maha Vikas Agaadi government for this unfortunate incident. She lashed out at the government for not being capable enough for maintaining the law and order situation in the state and how women are unsafe.

She met the victims, and made a promise of serving justice to the family. She met with the police officials and reviewed the progress in the investigation.

“It was only after I asked police about the matter, things started moving in the case. Still one of the girls is missing and I am worried for her. But it shows the home department’s apathy to protect our women,” she said.

Expressing shock over the incident, Wagh said the culprits have no fear for laws. “It is really sad and shocking that some ‘Baba’ has dared to do the act. The woman and her daughter come from an educated family and still exploited by this man. This has to stop. I would stand by these women and bring justice for them if police fail to act,” Wagh added.
