Continuous Elections Affect Parliament Sessions And Discussions; PM’s Pitch For ‘One Nation One Election’

New Delhi: “Continuous elections are affecting the sessions and discussions of Parliament. Elections will continue to happen, and I would like to tell all the MPs that discussions in Parliament should help the country move forward,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi.One Nation One Election ‘appeared to be supported. He was speaking to the media before Modi entered Parliament. The budget session of Parliament started from today (January 31). Tomorrow (February 1), Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the budget.

Modi said, “This convention can be an important opportunity for discussion, issues and open discussion. I would like to tell all the MPs that political parties should help the country move forward through open discussion. Also, if elections are in their place, elections will continue.”But the country’s budget session creates a blueprint for the year. That is why everyone needs to be present at the convention. “

The budget session is starting in the country from today. I welcome all of you to the session of Parliament. The country’s vaccination campaign, the country-made vaccine has made its mark all over the world. A belief has been created about the vaccine being developed in the country.There is a worldwide belief in India’s vaccine.

Likely Discussion In Parliament 

Inflation has been rising in the country for some time now. In December, retail inflation stood at 5.59 per cent and wholesale inflation at 13.56 per cent. The issue will be debated in both houses of parliament over the purchase of Pegasus’ espionage technology, which will be opposed by the opposition. The issue of farmers, inflation, unemployment and Chinese infiltration are also expected to be discussed in Parliament.

New Delhi: Addressing the Parliament ahead of budget session, President Ram Nath Kovind claims that his government has always prioritized small-scale farmers. He said that PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, has benefitted over 11 crore families. Further he said, along with farmers, women empowerment is their priority too. They have also witnessed success of the Ujjwala Yojana. 

Listing out how the government has taken numerous measures to empower women, President Kovind said, “Women empowerment is one of the top priorities of my government. We’re witnesses to the success of the Ujjwala Yojana. Through the Mudra Yojana, the entrepreneurship and skills of women have received a boost. With “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao”, many positive results have come to the fore. Also, in an attempt to provide an equal status to the sons and daughters, my government has presented the Bill to increase the minimum age of marriage of women from 18 to 21 years.”

He further said, “Our small-scale farmers have a significant role in the country’s development. My government has always prioritised 80 per cent of our small-scale farmers. As part of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, over 11 crore families have benefitted to date.”

Speaking of Covid he said that Centre has helped over 28 lakh street vendors during the pandemic. He said, “My govt is also running PM Svanidhi Yojana to benefit the street vendors. So far, 28 lakh street vendors have received monetary support worth over Rs 2,900 crore. The Centre is now connecting these vendors via online companies. We can also see the impact of the manner in which my government linked Jan Dhan-Aadhaar-Mobile, JAM trinity, to citizen empowerment. Thousands and thousands of people have received direct cash transfers during the pandemic.”

The President also went on to praise the Central government for its welfare schemes. “To ensure that no one returns home hungry, my govt distributed free ration to the poor every month as part of the PM Gareeb Kalyan Yojana. Today, India is running the world’s largest food distribution program. Also, the Ayushman Bharat card has benefitted the poor. Availability of medicines at low prices at Jan Aushadi Kendra was also a great move.”

He further praised the performance of Indian players at Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics during his address. He said, “”We saw the capability of India’s youth power, in Tokyo Olympics. Giving its best-ever performance, India won 7 medals. In Tokyo Paralympics, too, India won 19 medals and set a record.”
